Description of the feedback animation: The Advanced Media Player is a video playback software that can handle various video files and DVDs  that are coupled with a neurofeedback animation. The Advanced Media Player plays the most common video formats such as MPEG, AVI or MKV. In addition, it is possible to play Kindle files as well as Youtube links. In addition, some video clips included in the AMP may also be played.
Technical Specifications: The Advanced Media Player is able to apply various selectable effects and filters to the video that is being watched. These audio-visual effects change the imageswatched by the patient, changing the dynamics of the EEG. 8 different effects can be selected. For ILF training with the AMP, the "Shrink" effect is particularly recommended as it does not interrupt the selected video.

Patients / clients:
  • Since any movie or video clip can be watched, it is suitable for every patient
  • The AMP offers a high degree of variety to quickly bored patients
Advantages:
  • The AMP is a very diverse and flexible feedback animation, since any content can be watched
  • Long-term patients who have already trained with various other neurofeedback animations may be offered an interesting diversification with the AMP
  • Interesting visual and auditory feedback effects
Contraindications:
  • The AMP is not suitable during the first sessions while the target frequency is not yet determined
  • A more passive feedback, with only little interaction by the patient
  • The quality of the session may be severely negatively affected by the selection of (for the patient) not suitable video material
Notice:
  • Without an extensive explanation of the neurofeedback process and the purpose of the feedback effects in the displayed video, this feedback animation may be understood as "just" watching TV from a patients point of view.
  • Therapists must be very critical in their choice of video and only show videos that they know and regularly evaluate from a therapeutic point of view.
  • The system does not support blue rays
